Significance of Shivratri

Swaminarayan Bhagwan has considered Lord Shiva as one of the five pious gods and whose festival is one of the 29 vrats and which should be done with utmost devotion, especially by way of a mandatory full fast by those able to do so. 

The festival of Mahashivaratri is the most important festival for the millions of devotees of Lord Shiva. The festival has been accorded lot of significance in Hindu mythology. It says that a devotee who performs sincere worship of Lord Shiva on the auspicious day of Shivratri is absolved of sins.....

Kenton Mandir holds maths classes every Saturday, 3 to 5 pm. They are an oppurtunity for students to have free tution on maths from years 10 to 14 (GCSE's to A-levels). The students can bring their own work, or a topic in which they require help. Also help on UCAS and personal statments are available. Enrollment begins on the 24th of September 2011 at the Education building.
