Syllabus and GCSE Results
In February and June each year, students complete academic exams. Mid-term exam in February, tests what the student's knowledge and ability on what they have learnt from September – January. These results encourage students to successfully progress into their final end of year exams in June. The results help the teachers monitor each individuals strength and weaknesses. From Feb –Apr teachers plan and prepare how to bridge any gaps in their learning and help make a successful and talented class.
In April our aim is to complete the syllabus and help students recap on all the material and work covered throughout the year. April – June is a stressful period for teachers and students, but our school is known to overcome any barriers and make learning as fun, memorable and successful as possible.
The use of material, props, whiteboards, coloured paper and stationary, games and quizzes, class discussions, etc throughout the year allows students to be confident and ready for their end of year exams.
We have been an approved GCSE Examination Centre of Cambridge (Centre No. 12767) since May 2002.
